Knowing Your Strengths and Weaknesses

I sat among a pile of papers. Everywhere I looked, I saw more

work to do, and the longer I looked at it, the more overwhelmed I became. Finally, I burst into tears. “Why can’t I just figure out a framework for all of this paper?” I said to myself. Here I was, an savvy woman, and I was unable to figure out how to set up a recording system. I felt moronic.

Really stupid.

So I got up and tried again. Also, once more. Also, again. Each time I

endeavored to set up a new system, something woulddon’t work,

something I hadn’t thought of, and I’d have to start all over

again. I sat holding one single piece of paper, attempting to figure

out how to manage it, when the telephone rang.

It was an old friend – actually, an old right-hand who had moved

away to another state across the country.

“What’cha doin?” she inquired.

“Trying to sort out how to document all of these @#$@#$ papers!” I

exclaimed noisily.

She took a long pause and then said to me. “What are you doing

that for? You’re an expert speaker – you don’t have the

energy to spend on that kind of detail work – you’re a Group

person!”.

All things considered, duh. Yes, I am a group person and here I was, taking a lot of time to do something that in all honesty, I’m not so good at doing.

Yet, THEY DON’T Show YOU THAT IN SCHOOL!! Remember back in

school when you weren’t so good in a subject? What did do they tell

you to do? Put in more effort, isn’t that so? Well, I say WRONG! We only have so

many strengths and weaknesses, why focus on the shortcoming?

It makes a ton of sense to me to focus on strengths. When you

focus on what you CAN do instead of what you Can’t do,

opportunities arise and individuals stream into your life to help you.

I’ve experienced this time and time again in my own life, and

always when I was working on what I do well.

So my papers? They are all nice and neat in a new filing system

which I did not make, yet I do follow. Someone else had

qualities in organization and helped me out – really a prosperous

and productive exchange of services.

How about you? What are you centering on today? What you do well

or what you do NOT do well? I challenge you to work your

strengths for a month and see what progress you make.

Activity Steps:

For one week, write down all of the undertakings you do.

Go over the list and figure out which of the tasks you enjoy or are great at, and which you don’t enjoy or struggle with.

Consider assigning the errands you aren’t good with.

Document how the task is done and find another individual to do

it for you.

Celebrate your freedom and success!

To be really successful in business you must know your strengths and your weaknesses! You can underwrite on your strengths and encompass yourself with competent people to cover the areas where you are weaker.

Henry Portage, the pioneer behind the Passage Mortar Organization, said one of the things that he did to make him successful was to surrounded himself with people who were competent

We must recognize that business is a contest and you need to know your competitors’ qualities and weaknesses as compared to your own.

Sun Tzu wrote in “The Workmanship of War” said “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of 100 battles. On the off chance that you know yourself yet not the enemy, for each victory gained, you will also experience a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I suggest that you take the time to do an analysis to identify what you think your qualities and weaknesses are. Be brutal and honest!

After your analysis take some time to get a serious investigation with friends and business partners and ask for some serious input. You will most likely be surprised by what others think are your shortcomings.

Shrug it off and suck it up cupcake! If they have been honest with you; you can start to build a team around you that will guarantee your success.

A great many people fizzle to realize that there are different parts of abilities that are needed in a fruitful business. Michael Gerber in his book “The E-Myth” depicts it this way:

There are three types of skills or personalities that need to be involved in a successful business and they are:

Most business owners attempt to do everything themselves and this is where you find people spending sixty (60) to eighty (80) hours per week at their spot of business.

The best thing you ought to do is take stock of your strengths and hire or outsource those areas where you are feeble. Sadly, most small business owners try to do it all themselves, particularly on the off chance that they cannot afford to pay others to it.

My recommendation is to work hard and get to where you can recruit great individuals as soon as conceivable.

On the off chance that you focus to the input about your weak regions, you can begin building a team that will help you on the road to success!

Remember that being the most astute person in your organization isn’t the best option for your prosperity!

Why You Need to Know Your Qualities and Weaknesses

Achievement is a dream of many people nowadays. Certain individuals want to be progress in their own business, others want to have extraordinary career, third in music, and there are lots of different people. However, they have one thing in common, they need to be success. There is a decent instrument that helps you to reach your goal, any objective. It is called “Using time productively”. This article is about the first step that you need to do to use this powerful tool.

You needs to know your assets and shortcomings. For example, one person is interesting in computers; it is one of his qualities. For this person is much simpler to work with computers than for the individual, who afraid of them. Everyone is interesting in something, and don’t intriguing in others things. You should realize what is interesting for you. In this example we are talking about qualities (weaknesses) that are hard to change. Furthermore, there are others strengths or weakness that are conceivable to change. I’m talking about abilities. For example you want to learn French; you need it for your business. Also, you can work and work and work, and then you’ll be and to chat on French. You changed your weakness to strengths.

Presently I’ll explain why you need to know them. One of the main components of the “Time management” is the plan. Yet, it is much easier to make a decent plan that it seems at first sight. You need to calculate how much time you need for each point of plan. Yet, if you know that this thing is easy for you, because you are great at it, you will leave less time for it. Furthermore, for thing that you are hard for you, you will leave more time in your plan.

Furthermore, remember good plan is a plan that you can follow, not just that you can imaging you follow.
